DiaCarta is seeking an IT Specialist at our Richmond office, California. This includes providing technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, or software. Response to queries, runs diagnostic programs, isolates problem, and determines and implements the solution. This also includes establishing and maintaining HIPAA-compliant mechanisms for ensuring the confidentiality, integrity and accessibility of the DiaCarta’s information systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing technical assistance and support for incoming queries and issues related to computer systems, software, and hardware.
  • Resolving technical problems with Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), and other systems.
  • establishing, managing and enforcing the Security Rule safeguards
  • addressing issues related to access controls, business continuity, disaster recovery, and incident response.
  • conducting risk assessments and audits – especially with regard to Business Associates and other third parties.
  • investigating data breaches and implementing measures for their future prevention and/or containment.

Position Requirements

  • At least a Bachelor’s degree in information security, computer information systems, network security, computer science or a related field of study.
  • Strong communication skills to educate technical and non-technical staffers on computer security protocols and raising information security awareness.
  • At least a Bachelor’s degree in information security, computer information systems, network security, computer science or a related field of study.
  • Strong communication skills to educate technical and non-technical staffers on computer security protocols and raising information security awareness.
  • Have a firm grasp of several programming languages, as well as experience dealing with a range of software and hardware types.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree required information security, computer information systems, network security, computer science or a related field of study
